With a combined 75 years as licensed funeral directors, we have walked with and guided, literally, thousands of families through the emotions and struggles that accompany losing a beloved family member. We understand the intense grief that you feel when you are facing the loss of a beloved furry-family member. That is why we decided to begin the
first ever, total end-of-life care company to accompany pet parents in this journey.
Beyond the Rainbow Pet Hospice, modeled after human hospice, provides extensive, in-home care for your beloved finned, feathered or furry family member. The first of its kind in Texas, we have a staff of veterinarians, chaplains, counselors and support staff that become your companions on this journey.
Most fur-babies don´t like going to the vet on a good day. Why would you want their final moments to be spent on a cold table, scared and afraid. We believe that this is a sacred time, best spent in the comfort and security of your home.
The #1 priority is to keep your baby pain-free and in the surroundings he or she is most comfortable in...their home. No more traumatic and painful trips in the car to the vet´s office. And when it is time to say good-bye, we create a sacred and serene environment, in your home, for the entire family.
When you are considering cremation, we believe that this too, should be provided in exactly the same manner as with a human member of the family. Therefore, your beloved baby is wrapped in a blanket (not a trash bag), placed in a pet bed in our vehicle (not put in the back of a truck), and placed on their own shelf in our refrigeration unit until taken for cremation (never stacked with other animals on top of them in a freezer). Perhaps, most importantly, is that we only cremate one pet at a time. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER is there more that one pet in the cremation chamber at the same time. We cannot by law do it with the humans in your family, so we don´t believe that your fur-baby should be treated any differently.
We have pre-planning guides available so you can consider your options and make your decisions before the need arises. Just call us or email and we´ll be happy to mail one to you, at no cost.
We have walked this journey with over 300 pet parents. We will be happy to provide you testimonials, upon request.
